Job Role: Dairy Processing Equipment Technician

Responsibilities-

Install, commission, inspect, and maintain dairy processing equipment.

Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of dairy processing machinery.

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues.

Maintain equipment such as milk pasteurizers, homogenizers, separators, filling machines, pumps, mixers, chillers, and CIP systems.

Monitor equipment performance and identify potential mechanical or operational problems.

Carry out routine inspection, lubrication, calibration, and replacement of worn components.

Support installation and commissioning of new dairy processing equipment.

Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs within required timelines.

Maintain maintenance records, service reports, and equipment documentation.

Ensure machinery operates according to manufacturer specifications and plant safety standards.

Follow food safety, hygiene, electrical safety, and workplace safety procedures.

Maintain adequate inventory of critical spare parts and maintenance tools.

Education-

Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Dairy Technology, or a related technical discipline.

Skills:

Practical experience with dairy processing machinery and plant utilities.

Good troubleshooting and preventive maintenance capabilities.

Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Ability to read equipment manuals, technical drawings, and basic electrical diagrams.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work in shifts and respond to equipment breakdowns when required.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Knowledge of workplace safety and food-processing hygiene standards.
