Job Description
ASPL is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Agriculture Marketing Manager to drive marketing initiatives, strengthen brand presence, and support business growth across key agricultural markets in India. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing and executing strategic marketing campaigns aimed at farmers, distributors, dealers, agri-retailers, FPOs, agri-input companies, and agribusiness partners.
This position requires a strong understanding of agricultural markets, rural consumer behavior, channel development, lead generation, product promotion, and agribusiness marketing. The candidate will work closely with sales, product development, and leadership teams to expand market reach and increase customer engagement.
The ideal candidate should possess a combination of agricultural knowledge, marketing expertise, business development skills, and relationship management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing & Brand Development
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
- Enhance brand visibility and positioning across target agricultural markets.
- Identify emerging market opportunities and recommend growth initiatives.
- Support product launches and market expansion activities.
Market Research & Analysis
- Conduct market intelligence studies and competitor analysis.
- Analyze customer requirements, farmer behavior, and industry trends.
- Monitor agricultural market developments and changing customer preferences.
- Prepare market reports and strategic recommendations for management.
Lead Generation & Business Growth
- Generate qualified leads through digital marketing, field activities, exhibitions, and partner networks.
- Support regional sales teams in achieving revenue and market share objectives.
- Develop campaigns to increase customer acquisition and retention.
- Track campaign effectiveness and optimize marketing performance.
Channel & Partner Development
- Build strong relationships with distributors, dealers, agri-input retailers, and channel partners.
- Coordinate promotional programs with regional partners.
- Support dealer engagement and loyalty initiatives.
- Strengthen the company's presence in key agricultural regions.
Digital Marketing & Communication
- Manage digital marketing campaigns across social media, websites, email marketing, and online advertising platforms.
- Develop marketing content including brochures, presentations, product literature, videos, case studies, and promotional materials.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging across all marketing channels.
- Collaborate with agencies and vendors for marketing execution.
Events & Farmer Engagement Programs
- Organize farmer meetings, field demonstrations, crop seminars, dealer meets, and agricultural awareness programs.
- Represent ASPL at agricultural exhibitions, trade fairs, conferences, and industry events.
- Coordinate product demonstrations and customer engagement activities.
Reporting & Performance Management
- Monitor KPIs and marketing ROI.
- Maintain accurate records of campaigns, budgets, and business outcomes.
- Present monthly and quarterly performance reports to senior management.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA in Marketing or Agribusiness Management preferred.
- 4 to 12 years of experience in agricultural marketing, agribusiness development, agri-input sales support, brand management, or related functions.
- Strong knowledge of agricultural products, crop cycles, rural markets, and farmer engagement practices.
- Experience working with dealers, distributors, retailers, FPOs, cooperatives, and agribusiness organizations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools, CRM systems, MS Office, and marketing analytics.
- Ability to travel extensively across assigned territories.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
