Agronomy and Research Executive at Urban Farms Co in Sangamner Maharashtra

Urban Farms Co. (UFCo) is hiring for an Agronomy & Research Role at its Center of Excellence in Sangamner. This role operates at the intersection of scientific research and field implementation, helping scale regenerative agriculture practices across India.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare crop-specific regenerative growing plans
• Train field staff and advise farmers on best practices
• Lead on-ground implementation of regenerative methods
• Plan, experiment, and monitor crop trials at UFCo’s demo farm
• Support and improve bioinput formulations and quality control
• Conduct and learn basic lab tests (Brix, Active Carbon, Soil Respiration)
• Collect field samples and assist in biological testing
• Lead farmer knowledge-sharing sessions

This is a highly practical role combining research, experimentation, and field execution.

1. Master’s degree in Agri-Science, Environmental Science, or Microbiology
2. Experience working directly with farmers
3. Strong passion for regenerative and sustainable agriculture
4. Analytical mindset with experimentation skills
5. Collaborative team player
6. Marathi speaking preferred (local farmer interaction)
