Job Summary:
The Sales Officer is responsible for promoting and selling products. The role involves
building strong relationships with farmers, distributors, and dealers to drive sales
growth and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development:
o Promote and sell agriculture input products to dealers, and distributors.
o Identify new business opportunities in markets.
o Conduct field demonstrations, farmer meetings, and training sessions
to educate farmer on product benefits.
o Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets.
2. Dealer & Distributor Management:
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, dealers.
o Ensure proper stock availability and merchandising at dealer points.
o Monitor competitor activities and market trends to adjust sales
strategies.

3. Farmer Engagement & Support:
o Provide technical guidance to farmers on product usage, crop nutrition,
and pest management.
o Address customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
o Organize and participate in agricultural fairs, field days, and
promotional campaigns.
4. Market Intelligence & Reporting:
o Gather market feedback on product performance, pricing, and demand.

o Prepare and submit daily/weekly sales reports, including market visits
and sales achievements.
o Assist in forecasting demand and inventory planning.
5. Compliance & Documentation:
o Ensure adherence to company policies and government regulations
related to agrochemical sales.
o Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, customer data, and
expenses.
Qualifications & Skills:
 Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture (B.Sc. Agri), Agribusiness, or
related field. Diploma holders with relevant experience may be considered.
 Experience: 1-3 years in sales of agriculture inputs products
 Skills & Competencies:
o Strong knowledge of agricultural products, crop cycles, and farming
practices.
o Excellent communication and negotiation skills (local language
proficiency is a plus).
o Ability to travel extensively in rural areas.
o Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
o Basic computer skills (MS Office).
o Valid two-wheeler/four-wheeler driving license (required for field travel).
